Hat Industries started manufacturing their French Infantry in a white plastic. So I thought this would be convenient to try some Saxons. The uniform probably resembles more of the pre-1813 uniforms as the shako doesn't bare the tassles.

Brunswick Avante Garde
So I finished another set. This is the HAT Industrie Brunswick Avante Garde set. Not my finest work by any means. I remembered being inspired by Whit Young's blog, for Wasatch Wargamers, and his showing of the black uni Avante Garde. I will probably crank out the Saxon Infantry for my next post. Brunswick Leib
I finally finished the Leib Battalion. For those of you viewing the blog for the first time, I openly claim to be an amateur painter. I like the history behind these guys. They fought with the Prussians during the opening battles of Napoleon's Prussian Campaign. After the Prussians were defeated by Napoleon, the Duke of Brunswick took with him his regiments, this is one of them, and they escaped to the Coast and were picked up by the British. They fought for the British in the Peninsular Campaign, and then at Waterloo. I have already started the Avante Garde, and have done the black uni's again. If I get some more sets I will do the gray uni's and do a Line regiment instead of the Leib again.
